Trenton Makes-Words! is a free vocabulary program to get Trenton children ages 0-5 ready for kindergarten.
Trenton Makes-Words! sessions foster fun, interactive experiences between parents/caregivers and their children ages 0-5; both when you participate in a program and afterward in your daily routine. They are long-lasting learning opportunities that complement your parenting efforts to make sure your children have the learning and social skills they’ll need when they start kindergarten.
We offer four weekly sessions which are hosted at three permanent locations:
Tuesdays & Thursdays.
Family Success Center, South Ward, The Children’s Home Society of New Jersey,
635 S. Clinton Ave., Trenton
Family Success Center, North Ward, The Children’s Home Society of New Jersey,
1554 Princeton Ave., Trenton.
New Jersey State Museum,
205 W. State St., Trenton.
Each session includes:
- Free transportation to/from sessions
- Free meal or snack
- Take-home books and activity cards every week!
- Invitation to community appreciation events featuring music, food, and craft activities!
In an effort to expand early learning resources to more Trenton families, Trenton Makes-Words! is excited to offer other word-related activities throughout the city:
